QA Engineer | Automated tests for ETL processes

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with expertise in automated testing for ETL and data projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and data quality assurance, and will be proficient in Agile methodologies. This role demands a meticulous approach to validating data and collaboration with development teams to ensure successful data migrations and operational readiness. The QA Engineer will be responsible for enhancing the quality assurance processes within the scrum team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining automated tests for ETL processes and data migrations.

• Validating data mappings, transformations, and business rules using SQL.

• Conducting manual data testing and exploratory checks as required.

• Interpreting mapping documents, data models, and integration requirements.

• Collaborating with ETL developers and stakeholders on data integration projects.

• Supporting regression testing and managing release processes.

• Maintaining accurate test documentation and defect reports.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in automated QA for ETL/data projects.

• Strong SQL/PL-SQL and relational database knowledge.

• Understanding of ETL, ODS, and data warehousing concepts.

• Proficiency in manual testing with a strong focus on data quality.

• Familiarity with Git-based tools (e.g. Bitbucket).

• Experience working in Agile (Scrum/SAFe) teams.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

• Familiarity with IBM DataStage / Informatica or similar ETL tools.
