Senior Data Platform Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our Data Warehouse team and help shape and scale our cloud data platform. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role for someone who can design, build, and operate reliable data pipelines — and, most importantly, bring strong senior-level dbt expertise to the team.

What you’ll be doing?

• Owning and evolving core data platform capabilities such as CI/CD, environment management, observability, and access control to ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and easy to build on.

• Building and owning data pipelines and transformations on our Snowflake-based data platform.

• Leading the design and implementation of dbt-based ELT, including scalable modelling, testing, and documentation.

• Developing orchestration, ingestion, and automation solutions using Airflow and Python.

• Improving developer experience and raising engineering standards across testing, deployment, maintainability, and platform operations.

• Partnering with analytics and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, secure, production-grade datasets.

What we’re really looking for?

This role is for a Senior Engineer with strong hands-on experience in dbt. We’re looking for someone who has worked with dbt in production and is excited to help evolve and scale best practices across the team.

Ideally, you’d have:

• Solid experience building and operating modern data platforms on AWS using Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Python.

• Senior-level mastery of dbt: designing modular models, enforcing testing standards, structuring projects for scale, improving documentation, and making sound architectural decisions.

• Deep understanding of data modelling, ELT design, warehouse performance optimisation, and production-grade data engineering.

• Proven experience owning production data pipelines and making pragmatic technical trade-offs.

• A quality-focused mindset: you care about reliable, well-tested, well-documented, and trusted data.

• A security-focused mindset: you design and operate data platforms with attention to access control, data protection, change management, and the needs of a regulated environment.
