In this role, you will be responsible for field service sales to our tissue customers globally, with a particular focus on the small and medium-sized tissue machines. Close collaboration with product owners and technology teams is required to stay aligned with developments in the field. R&D is also part of the position. The role includes developing technical solutions, preparing cost estimates/calculations, writing technical specifications and quotations, coordinating resources, and to some extent also project-managing sold assignments. Focus of the quotations will be maintenance services, troubleshooting and process audits, optimization audits, agreements as well as remote support though Valmet Performance Center. The work takes place in an international environment in close collaboration with our local sales organizations and customers, so travel may be required.
To be successful in this job, you should have a technical university degree, preferably as a Master of Science in Engineering, or equivalent training/experience combined with at least 4–6 years of experience, ideally within the tissue or paper industry.
Personal qualities are very important. You should be an engaged, responsible, and goal‑oriented person with strong social skills and good communication abilities, enabling you to operate in a global, multicultural environment. Negotiation situations are also a natural part of the job. You should find it easy to collaborate both internally and externally, and you possess strong leadership qualities. Being motivated by challenges and working in a results‑focused manner is considered essential for success in this role.
You must be able to work efficiently with software and administrative systems, and you must have excellent spoken and written English skills.
