- Review requirements and designs; plan testing each sprint (tasks and estimates); run test case reviews; work with developers on dependencies; align with product/client teams on system needs.
- Build and execute tests for new and existing features; manage and update the regression suite; estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing across sprints and releases.
- Manage defects end to end: identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs; verify fixes and run full regression; track QA metrics (e.g., defect density, open defects) and report trends.
- Ensure release readiness: perform pre‑launch quality checks, follow release processes and timelines, and help deliver stable, cost‑effective software that meets client needs.
- Elevate quality practices: mentor QA engineers, collaborate beyond the product team, promote best practices and self‑study, and stay current with new testing tools and strategies.
- 8+ years in software QA and development; excellent analytical and communication skills; able to handle multiple tasks; experienced with Agile/Scrum and the full SDLC.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes; proficient with test management systems (Azure DevOps Test Plans/ADO, JIRA); write clear, comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on with testing and data tools (Postman, MS SQL Management Studio, JSON); solid SQL and scripting skills.
- Experience with complex integrations (APIs, web services) and SaaS/PaaS cloud platforms; performance and/or security testing experience is a plus.
- Bonus skills: XML, JavaScript, .NET framework, T‑SQL, jQuery, React, and SAP products (ECC/S4, SuccessFactors, Ariba, CPI/IS).
