Your responsibilities, Creating automatic and manual tests (test analysis and design + execution), Analysis of test results suggests ways to improve processes or increase productivity and quality, Cooperation with developers in diagnosing and correcting errors and error reporting, Running retests and regression tests (implementation and maintenance), Taking care of test documentation, Leading comprehensive testing efforts across multiple software projects, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and security, Manages critical test case design and reviews test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage and effectiveness., Analyses complex test results and leads troubleshooting efforts to resolve issues efficiently, Continuously evaluates testing processes and implements improvements to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and scope of testing., Reports on testing progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management, influencing decision-making regarding product quality and release readines
5+ years of experience in Python development, including asynchronous patterns, package design, CLI tooling, and working with REST/gRPC APIs., Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks used for backend service testing., Hands‑on experience with containerized deployments, particularly using Kubernetes., Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitHub Actions and GitLab CI., Experience with OpenTelemetry instrumentation (traces, metrics, logs) implemented directly within application code., Ability to design and manage containerized end‑to‑end test environments that mirror production conditions., Experience working with Atlassian tools, such as Confluence and Jira, EU citizenship, Fluent English: B2/C1., Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice

About the project
We are looking for a Lead Technical Tester to join Sopra Steria Polska and support a team working across data, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and web presence. In this role, you will contribute to deliv-ering foundational components, tools, guidance, and services throughout the entire lifecycle, from design to implementation and operations.
Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and have EU citizenship.
Tech stack on the project: Python, REST/gRPC APIs, GitHub Actions and GitLab, Confluence and Jira.
