We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded IT Project & Project Portfolio Manager who will play a key role in raising the overall project management maturity across our IT organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned project manager who enjoys shaping methodologies, enabling colleagues, and contributing to a modern, transparent and strategically aligned project portfolio.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
1. End‑to‑End Management of IT Projects
- Lead and deliver IT projects across the full lifecycle – from initiation to closure.
- Manage both pure IT initiatives as well as business-driven projects with IT deliverables.
- Ensure clear scope definition, structured planning, transparent status reporting, and predictable delivery outcomes.
2. Strengthening Project Management Maturity
- Contribute actively to the development and enhancement of the IT project management methodology, aligned with group-wide standards.
- Define and establish mandatory project management components, including:
- Standard processes, routines, and governance activities
- Mandatory artefacts and documentation
- Quality gates, baselines, and evidence requirements
- Continuously improve the methodology by incorporating industry best practices, audit insights, and lessons learned.
- Drive a culture of professional, structured, and predictable project execution.
3. Enablement, Training & Coaching
- Support the professional development of project managers, junior PMs, and colleagues with project leadership responsibilities.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job support to uplift delivery standards.
- Organize and deliver training sessions, knowledge-sharing formats and best-practice workshops.
- Act as a role model for structured, transparent, and outcome‑driven project management.
4. Development of IT Project Portfolio Management
- Shape and implement portfolio management structures within IT, focusing on:
- Capacity and resource planning
- Prioritisation of initiatives based on strategy, risk, and value contribution
- Budget planning, monitoring, and forecasting
- Ensuring the overall “health” and feasibility of the project portfolio
- Provide management with high-quality portfolio reporting and actionable insights.
- Enable strategic alignment by supporting the selection of the “right projects” for the organization.
Your skills and experience:
- Several years of experience in IT project management (Agile, Waterfall or hybrid environments).
- Proven track record in delivering complex IT initiatives.
- Experience in portfolio management or PMO is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments, audit-driven work, or IT transformation programs is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of PM methodologies, governance frameworks, and structured delivery.
- Ability to build frameworks and drive organizational standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across IT and business.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to coach and inspire others.
- Analytical mindset, solution-oriented approach, and high sense of ownership.
