Financial Crime Investigations (FCI) focuses on the specific financial crime threats the firm faces now and in the future, pioneering the techniques and technology that protect our business, our customers, and the many communities in which we operate from the harms associated with financial crime. FCI harnesses intelligence, analytics, technology, investigation, information sharing, and public-private partnerships to achieve this end.
This role will sit within Group Investigations Optimisation Team. The Investigations Optimisation Team has overall responsibility to identify, assess, prioritise and deliver optimisation opportunities across global Investigations, closely liaising with the sub-functions of Triage, Investigative Reporting and Major Operations. The optimisation remit is wide, ranging across processes engineering, cross functional de-duplication, improved products and tooling, through to large scale AI driven solutions.
The Manager, Investigations Optimisation is responsible providing investigations process knowledge and driving the delivery of Optimisation projects. For the period of this assignment, the role holder will be assigned to support the Investigations AI tool project.
What you’ll do
Liaise with regional and market Investigations stakeholders to generate and assess optimisation opportunities.
Lead generation and communication of business requirements for optimisation projects in support of the optimisation strategy, liaising with relevant stakeholder and delivering tangible outcomes.
Provide Investigations subject matter expertise (SME) knowledge and input to governance forums.
Design and deliver training related to optimisation projects.
Track and report optimisation progress, providing updates to stakeholders and related governance forums.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
Working knowledge of some or all of the financial crime investigations process.
Strong analytical, organisational and delivery skills, resourceful, creative and adept at solving complex issues.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, including the ability to write and present concise and informative presentations. Excellent written and data analysis skills and attention to detail.
Project management experience. Highly motivated and autonomous with a continuous improvement mind set and ability work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Critical thinking, being inquisitive and ability to use initiative without guidance. Flexible and dynamic approach to deal with multiple competing priorities.
Understanding of operational risk control frameworks and control environment.
Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince2, APM, Agile) or associated experience. Process Engineering qualification (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking) or associated experience.
Awareness or experience of automation technologies including (e.g., RPA, NLP, NLG & Gen AI).
