We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join a global team responsible for the development and maintenance of the Collateral platform and its microservices across on-prem (HIC/IKP) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. This is a critical function supporting margining and collateral management for thousands of clients worldwide.

The team operates in a microservices environment based on Java 11 and Spring Boot, with a strong focus on modernization using GCP services (CloudSQL, GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Operations). The platform integrates with multiple systems using MQ, File, Web Services, and REST APIs, and leverages DevOps tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Flux.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and implement infrastructure architecture based on business and development requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure and tooling.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code and automation capabilities for Linux environments.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, code deployments, and configuration for production and non-production systems (Cloud and on-prem).
• Ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security of systems.
• Identify automation opportunities and build end-to-end solutions to reduce manual work.
• Manage MQ and sFTP connectivity for application integrations.
• Apply DevOps practices and align with engineering standards.
• Coordinate Service Management activities (Disaster Recovery, vulnerability patching, backups, recovery scenarios).
• Provide technical support for production and non-production environments, collaborating with IT infrastructure teams (networking, storage, Linux, Windows).
• Evaluate existing platforms and recommend improvements for performance and scalability.

Must-have

Who we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience in GCP and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Jira).
• Strong experience in software design, development, and testing (Java/Python preferred).
• Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Cloud Build, Ansible).
• Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python) and experience with Linux/containerized platforms.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, DevSecOps pipelines, and TLS implementations.
• Experience with Messaging Queues (IBM MQ) and sFTP connectivity.
• Ability to troubleshoot network-related issues.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes (K8s), Flux, and GCP project management.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted code-generation tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Experience with REST APIs, Oracle, CloudSQL, and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Docker, GitHub, Maven, and messaging systems (MQ, Solace)
