Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Java, Selenium, BDD, and API automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for web applications and APIs. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver
• Build and execute BDD test scenarios using tools such as Cucumber
• Perform API automation testing using tools/frameworks like Rest Assured, Postman, or similar
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and utilities for web and API testing
• Analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into test scenarios and automation scripts
• Execute regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects with development teams
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Prepare test reports and communicate test progress, coverage, and quality metrics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Continuously improve test processes, frameworks, and automation coverage

Required Skills

• Strong programming knowledge in Java
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation
• Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber
• Strong experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured or similar tools
• Good understanding of TestNG or JUnit
• Knowledge of Maven/Gradle build tools
• Experience with Git/GitHub/Bitbucket version control
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL/Database testing
• Knowledge of performance testing tools is a plus
• Exposure to Docker, Kafka, or cloud platforms is an advantage
• Experience working in enterprise or product-based environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Typically 6+ years of experience in QA automation/testing
