Freelance Infrastructure Project Manager (Remote)

We are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to support a large-scale IT transformation initiative within a global energy organization.

This role focuses on coordinating and managing the replacement and upgrade of legacy infrastructure across multiple domains, including data centers, operating systems, databases, and virtualization platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct scoping and infrastructure inventory analysis using CMDB and related tools
• Define and validate migration scenarios in collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders
• Plan and lead workshops with system administrators and application owners
• Coordinate infrastructure upgrade activities across multiple domains
• Work closely with external vendors to ensure smooth delivery and implementation
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and handle escalations
• Ensure alignment with overall technology roadmap and project governance
• Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and present changes to stakeholders
• Manage reporting and stakeholder communication through regular project updates

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in project management or PMO roles
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile)
• Solid technical understanding of IT infrastructure (Windows, Linux, databases, hypervisors)
• Experience coordinating infrastructure upgrades or legacy system replacements
• Proven ability to manage external vendors and cross-functional teams
• Fluent English communication skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
