Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Pre-Sales Architect to support complex sales cycles by shaping high-quality, scalable, and secure technical solutions for enterprise clients.
This role sits at the intersection of sales, architecture, and delivery, combining strong cloud-based architectural understanding with the ability to bring together specialized expertise and guide solution teams throughout the pre-sales lifecycle.
You will play a key role in bid processes, client workshops, solution design, and executive-level presentations, ensuring proposed solutions are feasible, competitive, and aligned with both client needs and organizational capabilities.
Core Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Bid Support
- Actively participate in pre-sales and bid processes, including technical solutioning, effort estimation, and risk assessment.
- Lead technical offers by orchestrating cross-functional solution teams, including cloud architects, delivery leads, and domain experts.
- Co-author offers, proposals, and responses to RFPs/RFIs, ensuring alignment with client requirements, delivery models, and organizational standards.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams and business stakeholders to craft compelling technical narratives and value propositions.
- Present proposed solutions to C-level executives and senior decision-makers, demonstrating both technical depth and business understanding.
- Take ownership of the technical integrity and feasibility of proposed solutions throughout the pre-sales cycle.
Architecture & Solution Design
- Design cloud-native and hybrid architectures across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
- Possess a strong understanding of cloud concepts, services, pricing models, and architectural patterns, while not necessarily being a deep specialist in all cloud providers.
- Define high-level solution architectures and orchestrate tailored implementations in close collaboration with cloud-specialized architects (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP Solution Architects).
- Define migration strategies including:
- Monolith to microservices
- On-premises to cloud
- Cloud-to-cloud migrations
- Design integration approaches and target architectures aligned with scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
Cloud & DevOps Expertise
- Apply a strong understanding of the application development lifecycle, DevOps culture, and infrastructure fundamentals.
- Design solutions leveraging:
- Containerisation and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
- Serverless architectures
- CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Incorporate observability and monitoring best practices using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud-native monitoring services.
Workshops & Client Engagement
- Lead and facilitate discovery and solution design workshops with clients.
- Translate business and technical requirements into clear, actionable solution designs.
- Apply industry-standard practices and frameworks such as:
- Event Storming
- Value Proposition Canvas (VPC)
- Business Model Canvas (BMC)
- C4 Model
Security, Compliance & Multi-Cloud
- Design solutions compliant with high data protection and security standards.
- Address security concerns including:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Encryption and data protection
- Cloud security best practices
- Design resilient multi-cloud architectures spanning multiple cloud providers.
Innovation & Continuous Learning
- Explore and apply GenAI tools to accelerate solution design, estimations, and proposal preparation.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and cloud innovations.
- Share knowledge internally and contribute to continuous improvement of pre-sales practices.
Required Experience & Skills
- 12+ years of experience in software development.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
- Proven track record in: pre-sales activities, bid management, proposal and RFP/RFI creation.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to align delivery models with client expectations.
- Experience working on projects with high security and data protection requirements.
- Familiarity with: cloud cost calculators (Azure/AWS/GCP), pre-sales and bid management tools, proposal automation platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and company offices for workshops, presentations, and key meetings.
- Fluent Polish and English (minimum B2+ level).
Work from Poland and a work permit are required.
