What you’ll be doing as an intern in one of the Tessent Research and Development teams

Tessent is Electronic Design Automation software developed by Siemens. The Tessent tool is used by the largest companies in the integrated circuit industry to insert Design for Test logic and prepare microchips for manufacturing tests. Design for Test is a branch of engineering largely based on research and development. The solutions designed by our engineering teams are based on IEEE standards and often go beyond them.

You will participate in the daily work of a software engineering team and support their efforts in developing leading-edge solutions for our customers. In our office in Poznan, we develop Design-for-Test tools that are essential for testing and validating integrated circuits such as microprocessors, System-on-Chips, GPUs, and memory devices.

Your learning in practice

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated intern to join our Embedded QA Engineering team. As an Embedded QA intern, you will be integrated into an international team responsible for developing Design-for-Test Tessent Embedded Analytics products. This internship presents an opportunity to contribute to the testing and validation of software and embedded solutions used in integrated circuits that are crucial to the semiconductor industry.

During the internship you will:

• Learn about Tessent Embedded Analytics and its application in modern System-on-Chip design
• Support the testing and quality assurance of Embedded Analytics solutions
• Contribute to the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Assist in verifying the functionality, quality, and reliability of analytic Intellectual Property components
• Participate in testing performed on Field-Programmable Gate Array-based platforms
  
  

All About You

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Interested in embedded systems, semiconductor technologies, and System-on-Chip development
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Understanding of low-level hardware concepts
• Knowledge of Python or C++ for test development and automation, preferably with pytest or Google Test
• Basic understanding of software quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes is a plus. Previous experience or coursework related to integrated circuits, microprocessors, or software development is beneficial, but not required.
  
  

SSP Poland 2026, conditions & eligibility

Siemens Strategic Student Program in Poland for a Summer Internship from 01 July to 30 September 2026, with the possibility of extension for the academic year from 01 October 2026 to 30 June 2027. You may also have the opportunity to write your bachelor’s or master’s thesis in cooperation with Siemens EDA.

Internships are paid, both during the summer and during extended periods.

• You must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate
• International students must have a valid visa and/or work permit. Siemens does not provide support for visa or permit processes.
