Group Operational Excellence Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced and driven Lean professional to support the continuous improvement journey across ROCKWOOL’s global factory network. In this role, you will lead Lean Maturity Assessments based on the ROPEX Production System, helping factories identify strengths, gaps, and practical opportunities for improvement.

You will work closely with the factories and the local teams translating assessment insights into actionable roadmaps, strengthen operational capabilities, and enable sustainable performance improvements. As part of a diverse global team of 40+ colleagues dedicated to operational performance, you'll collaborate across borders to build capability, share best practices, and unlock synergies that drive real impact.
Key responsibilities & tasks :
You combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and influencing abilities. You thrive equally at the shop floor and in senior management discussions, naturally driving optimization initiatives. You possess strong intercultural competencies and the flexibility to travel 60-70 days annually across Denmark and international locations, thriving in diverse working environments. You also bring :

Group Operational Excellence Project Manager

Key responsibilities & tasks :
- Conduct Lean Maturity Assessments at ROCKWOOL factories globally based on elements of ROPEX Production System in a collaborative, structured and consistent manner.
- Translate assessment findings into practical improvement roadmap for factories.
- Facilitate open, constructive and fact-based dialogues with factory teams.
- Coach and mentor factory leaders and ROPEX coaches to prioritize, execute, and sustain improvements.
- Support and lead ROPEX improvement projects (e.g., structured problem solving, kaizen, tiered meeting structures) to build capability through hands-on demonstration
- Use assessment data and insights to steer Group focus areas, identify systemic opportunities and adjust priorities dynamically.
- Coordinate assessment execution and follow-up (schedule, preparation, calibration, reporting, and closure tracking).
- Share best practices and enable cross-factory learning, collaborating closely with ROPEX colleagues globally to leverage synergies.
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset, constructively challenging the status quo while recognizing strong practices.

You possess strong intercultural competencies and the flexibility to travel 60-70 days annually across Denmark and international locations, thriving in diverse working environments. You also bring :
- A Master of Science within Industrial Engineering or Production or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent experience).
- 6-8 years in manufacturing operations and Lean/Continuous Improvement roles.
- 3–5 years of hands-on shop-floor Lean deployment experience (e.g., leading kaizens, coaching teams, implementing standards).
- Experience conducting Lean audits or maturity assessments in factory environments.
- Proven track record of driving measurable operational improvements in productivity, OEE, quality, lead time, and cost.
- Experience deploying a production system/CI practice across multiple sites, ideally in a multinational context with solid practical knowledge of Lean methods/tools : 5S, tiered meetings, Structured Problem Solving, and ToyotaKata and related analytics
- Proven ability to engage and influence factory leadership teams at all levels to adopt and sustain Lean principles, while translating process performance data and KPIs into actionable priorities.
