
Junior/Regular Security Tester – Industrial Automation Systems (f/m)

Your responsibilities, Conduct fuzz testing on industrial automation devices and communication stacks, Develop and expand our internal fuzzing tool, implement support for new protocols, enhancing existing fuzzing modules, Analyze protocol specifications and understand how frames, fields, and message structures are built, Document findings, vulnerabilities, and test results, Collaborate closely with development team
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, information technology or similar field, Strong programming skills in Python (experience with tooling, automation or protocol handling is a plus), Very good knowledge of Linux, including command line workflow, system configuration, and debugging, Excellent written and spoken English (min. B2 level), Practical experience working with communication protocols: understanding how protocol frames are structured, encoded, and transmitted, Analytical mindset and interest in cybersecurity testing, Good communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies, Willingness to occasional business trips to HQ in Germany
Optional, Experience with fuzzing frameworks or vulnerability research, Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profinet, EtherCAT), Basic understanding of embedded systems or industrial automation hardware
