The Adi Practice team is seeking a Business Analyst to help advance Alcon’s digital product experiences and strengthen our relationship with customers, consumers, and sales associates. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Collaborate with the Product Director and Product Manager to understand product strategy and translate it into clear business and functional requirements for the Auto Scheduler.
- Co‑lead requirements‑gathering sessions with Product Manager and act as a subject matter expert (business and technical).
- Engage directly with end users and internal stakeholders that represent end users (e.g., sales, service, clinical applications & regional product owners) as a part of requirements gathering.
- Translate user needs, market insights, and stakeholder input into well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA, planned 3 sprints ahead.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Clinic Connect, Shared Services, HDS, RMDS, Legal, and Compliance.
- Review and provide feedback on test cases and test runs prepared by Test Leads.
- Support early estimation of Epics and Stories with the Product Manager.
- Serve as a day‑to‑day contact for Engineering on requirement clarifications.
- Support the Product Manager in ensuring team deliverables align with product vision and stakeholder expectations.
- Review JIRA ticket demos from Engineering for completeness against requirements.
- Prepare and deliver demos to business stakeholders alongside the Product Director and Product Manager.
- Work closely with the Product Manager to support backlog prioritization and day‑to‑day decision making.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in a Business Analyst or product‑related role.
- 2–3 years of experience working on an Agile team.
- Experience working with UX/UI teams and understanding of front-end user experience best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment and independently when needed.
- Strong judgment, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Fluent English.
- Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities and support increased product adoption.
- Creative mindset with the ability to suggest new ideas and appropriate risks.
- Proven ability to collaborate across multiple levels and teams.
