The Product Compliance Manager ensures the HR and Payroll platform complies with applicable labor, payroll, tax, and data protection regulations. The role translates regulatory requirements into product specifications, supports customer onboarding from a product perspective, monitors regulatory changes, mitigates risk, and shares product knowledge through internal training and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

About The Role

The role translates regulatory requirements into product specifications, supports customer onboarding from a product perspective, monitors regulatory changes, mitigates risk, and shares product knowledge through internal training and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Regulatory & Product Compliance Management
- Monitor, interpret, and track changes in labor law, payroll regulations, tax rules, and data protection requirements (e.g., employment law, social security, statutory reporting, GDPR, etc.).
- Analyze the impact of regulatory changes on product features, workflows, and data models.
- Translate legal, regulatory, market and Customer’s requirements into clear product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Define and evaluate product compliance requirements and ensure timely implementation within the product roadmap.
- Contribute in roadmap planning and prioritization of product initiatives.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date product documentation, including testing scenarios and product guidelines.
- Apply a risk-based approach to compliance requirements, balancing regulatory urgency and business impact.
- Support implementation, onboarding, configuration, and rollout activities, as well as testing and validation of localization-related functionality within the product roadmap and/or signed contracts with Customers.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on HR and payroll compliance for internal teams.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams and Customers on topics relevant to the product.
- Collaborate with R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Support teams to ensure compliance requirements are clearly understood and consistently applied across the product lifecycle.
- Support Sales and Marketing departments with contribution in Demos for Prospects in live sessions or by contribution in preparation of agreed materials.
- Support smooth handover from Implementation to Customer Support department.
- Product documentation set is up to date (Product description, testing scenarios, User Guide, Knowledge base, etc.)
- Regulatory and legislation changes are implemented before their legal effective date.
- Reduction in custom work and delivery exceptions, offering standard functionality where possible.
- Customer satisfaction during implementation, based on feedback provided during “Lessons learned” session after go-live.
- Reduction in recurring Product compliance questions or errors from internal teams.
- Feedback from internal teams on clarity of compliance requirements, internal teams satisfaction (qualitative).
- Hands-on experience with HR and payroll processes, including statutory calculations, reporting, and employment regulations.
- Proven experience supporting product maintenance and implementation in a SaaS or ERP environment.
- Experience working with product and development teams in Agile or similar approaches.
- Ability to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and compliance test scenarios.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management, change management, and release processes.
- Strong analytical skills to assess regulatory impact on existing and future product functionality.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high accuracy in compliance-critical product areas.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulations in clear, practical terms.
