What will you be doing?
- Developing, maintaining, and optimising R/Python code for new features and tools
- Challenge the status quo and offer new ways of approaching our actuarial processes
- Create fast and efficient systems, which will stand the test of time
- Collaborate closely with team of actuarial experts from all over the UK, jointly transforming capital processes removing effort and reducing the time taken to perform the process
- Embedding change initiatives, ensuring solutions are fully documented, tested and business readiness criteria is met
- Support the testing team in dealing with queries and fixes
What we’re looking for?
- 2+ Experience in R and/or Python
- Familiarity with RShiny is desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills for debugging code issues quickly and efficiently and finding innovating solutions to problems
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to express concisely and transparently technical concepts to non-expert audience
