We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineering Specialist to lead and support a team responsible for building and evolving enterprise cloud platforms. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on architectural oversight, supporting the adoption of modern cloud infrastructure and enabling development teams to deliver scalable, secure applications in public cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of cloud engineers, promoting strong engineering practices, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Guide the design and delivery of reusable cloud frameworks, templates and platform capabilities used by engineering teams across the organisation.
• Work closely with application teams to support the migration of existing systems and the development of new cloud-native solutions on public cloud platforms, primarily AWS, including hybrid environments.
• Establish and promote standards for resilient, scalable and highly available cloud architectures.
• Ensure platform solutions follow robust security principles and align with internal governance and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with engineering and platform stakeholders to define product direction, prioritise technical initiatives and shape the long-term cloud strategy.
• Provide visibility on migration progress, risks and key milestones to senior engineering leadership.
• Contribute to cloud governance processes to ensure production workloads meet required operational and security standards.

Experience & Skills

• Extensive experience working with public cloud technologies, ideally AWS.
• Proven leadership experience as an Engineering Manager, Technical Lead or similar role within cloud platform or cloud-native environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed architectures, microservices and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and operating secure, highly available and scalable systems within complex enterprise environments.
• Background in hybrid infrastructure, integrating cloud services with on-premise platforms.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering teams.
