Senior Product Manager - LIMS

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive strategy, development, and lifecycle management of complex digital products. In this role, you will ensure that products fulfill their primary purpose: enabling users to perform tasks that create value for the organization. You will define the strategic vision, align it with business outcomes, and manage the product backlog to guide cross-functional teams toward impactful delivery.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

Product Management

• Would focus on Global Crops Science LIMS products for labs ranging from discovery to commercial laboratories
• Would apply critical and product thinking to drive quality and reusability to digitize lab processes
• Would function in a working culture where decision making is driven from the bottom up using DSO (Shared Dynamic ownership) principals
• Own end-to-end success of assigned products throughout their lifecycle—from concept to decommissioning.
• Identify domain needs, define and validate product concepts, and build business cases.
• Oversee product build, launch, and long-term maintenance, ensuring availability, stability, compliance, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with product development, engineering, marketing, finance, legal, operations, manufacturing, and sales teams.
• Drive agile best practices including continuous planning, sprint preparation, and co-creation of user stories aligned with prioritized backlog items.
• Conduct market opportunity identification, competitive analysis, domain monitoring, and sales enablement activities.
  
  

Stakeholder Engagement

• Identify key stakeholder groups and maintain strong relationships across the organization.
• Understand and represent stakeholder and user needs, ensuring they are reflected in product decisions and outcomes.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and product value clearly, building trust and alignment across business, technical, and enabling teams.
  
  

Product Strategy

• Provide end-to-end strategic leadership for the assigned product portfolio.
• Define strategic vision and align product objectives with business outcomes and customer needs.
• Balance input from users, business stakeholders, and technical teams to guide decision making.
• Optimize capabilities and resources to deliver maximum value efficiently.
  
  

Product Discovery & Delivery

• Develop comprehensive product roadmaps capturing user needs, business priorities, and non-functional requirements.
• Track and report progress toward 90-day outcomes and overall product health, including budget oversight.
• Ensure product delivery aligns with agreed objectives, quality standards, and long-term strategy.
• Support continuous improvement by gathering feedback, analyzing performance, and adjusting plans accordingly.
  
  

Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):

• Strong understanding of product management principles, digital product lifecycles, and product-driven value creation.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and working in agile environments.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics to diverse stakeholder groups.
• Solid understanding of technology, digital architecture, and product ecosystems spanning multiple workflows or platforms.
• Experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs, and agile delivery processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret product data, KPIs, and customer insights.
• University degree or commensurate experience in a technology, business, or related field.
